This carpet, decorating a church altar, is 80 square metres wide.
It was cut out of a Wilton carpet and was shaped and bordered with the aim of giving the impression that the altar rests on it and, at the same time, enabling an easy removal when required in accordance with religious solemnities.
The carpet is made up of three separated units. The joints are barely visible.
The picture clearly shows that the carpet appears as a single piece.
